Why should I see a psychiatrist?

As a psychiatrist, I am the only member of a mental health team who trained as a medical doctor specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. This allows me to draw on medical knowledge about biological and psychological factors impacting my patients and combine medication and other interventions treat mental illness.

I am already in therapy. Can I come see you for a medication consultation?

Yes. Psychotherapy is an important part of many treatment plans and I welcome collaboration with other members of your treatment team to ensure you receive comprehensive care.

Can I use my insurance?

The goal at Emi Psychiatry is to provide high-quality, personalized care without the influence of insurance companies or administrators. Therefore, the practice is out-of-network with all insurances.

Payment is required at time of service. An invoice, also known as a superbill, will be provided to you. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may submit the superbill to your insurance company for direct reimbursement.
